Reorganising book

Currently the book is being reorganised. I've renamed it Integral Metaphysics and Transformation. Some of the material in the early chapters has been moved to other chapters. There's less stuff on Wilber, and more on a more unique Integral Vision. So rather than just reacting to and writing within the context of the current Integrall Movement, I'm presenting a more active and unique worldview. Also I've made the language a bit snappier; the previous drafts were rather too tame.

Alan, that sounds great! you got me really curious now…
good luck and greetings!

hi Gabriele!
Yeah it starts out more metaphysical even in the first chapter. I announce the basic themes from the start, in a non-apologetic way, rather than going through all the more academic stuff. Also I have made the happiness and welfare of all sentient beings the central theme of the book. And I'm trying to write with more humour, as well as being more opinionated :-)
Alan, just a quick apology for being so late in giving comments on your manuscript. Half of Islamabad's been under seige the last week or so (religious militants holding hostages at a seminary), so I've been horribly distracted by the unfolding situation here. :( It's terrible here, really.
hi Ned
that's cool!
yeah i saw the news. It makes me appreciate how lucky i am to be living in a secular Western country! Please stay safe! No urgency to get back to me re the manuscript

Hello,
Just skimming here and there on the substance here… but want to offer encouragement for any discussion of Aurobindo–my sense is the real deal when it comes to integral. I have been essentially practicing integral yoga (of a personal brand) for 20 years and always find answers when dipping into Aurobindo/mother lit.
Cheers to you all,
Kev
hi Kev!
Great to meet another Aurobindonian! I agree, his is the original Integral teaching. Yeah I have my own unique take on Integral Yoga too (even if my practice could always be better!); i guess everyone does.
best wishes

Dear Alan,
I hope the book is coming on well. There is an old saying quality not quantity….as I know you intend to do other tomes not just the present magnus opus. But remember a really good book is one which is well-researched, and ideally offers some new thinking with little rehasing of existing material. I am sure yours will fit the bill. It only needs one piece de resistance to help change things in the world. Quality is the key word ofcourse.
I remember the writings of Dr. Douglas Baker, a noted esotericist. I did read a few of his works. I found his writing, and thinking somehow superficial, and lacking real dept. Yet, he produced over hundred books if I am correct. He seemed draw much of his inspiration from Alice Bailey, and Theosophy but did not seem to give any references to his sources (though very rarely if I am not mistaken). I remember going to one of his talks in Slough, and he was book signing. Unfortunately, I took an instant dislike towards him as I felt he was undertaking his “mission”(ie esoteric education) for the wrong reasons.
What I am trying to say is this. Quality is everything. Simply creating an endless stream of tomes is all very well, and good but it only takes one, or two, (perhaps more) to have an impact on society, and the world. My own projected opus The Multi-Dimensional Hypothesis; The Emerging Psychic, and Spiritual Paradigm would explain all the necessary. Yet, it is just one work that would pave the way to the humanization of science, and unlocking infinite potential within people in a more “objective” fashion. Furthermore, it goes beyond the present usual “obsession” of electro-imaging of the “aura” as it offers methods to prove the existence of higher psycho-spiritual energies undetectable by physical instruments. In other words, it is much more advanced than the “scientific” research undertaken at this very time.
Lastly, I hope your “manic obssessional” writing phase will come to an end soon with a masterpiece, and you will be back to your “normal” self. I hope you take this in the right spirit in which it is intended. Having a “global” holiday after publication is also an excellent idea as it will help to put things in greater perspective.
Good Luck!
Robert Searle.
